About Mike Trout
Michael Nelson Trout (born August 7, 1991) is an American professional baseball center fielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). Trout is a 11-time MLB All-Star, three-time American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) award winner (2014, 2016, 2019), and a nine-time winner of the Silver Slugger Award.
Trout made a brief major league appearance in 2011 and became a regular player in 2012, winning the AL Rookie of the Year Award unanimously. Nicknamed "The Millville Meteor," he is regarded as one of the greatest players in baseball history, leading the AL in wins above replacement (WAR) in his first five full seasons.
