About Mookie Betts
Markus Lynn "Mookie" Betts (born October 7, 1992) is an American professional baseball right fielder and shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Boston Red Sox. Betts was drafted by the Red Sox in 2011, and made his MLB debut in the 2014 season, sharing time between second base and the outfield.
Betts became the Red Sox starting right fielder in 2016. He is an eight-time All-Star, seven-time Silver Slugger winner, six-time Gold Glove recipient, three-time World Series champion, and the 2018 American League MVP. In 2018, he became the first player in AL history to win the World Series, MVP, Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, and batting title in the same season. Betts is also a professional bowler with a perfect 300 game.
